A page belongs to a principal rather than a user: the appointment wanted is often with anybody in a group, a group is a principal, and whoever handles the request sets the participants.
What the visitor sees
No sign-in: the visitor picks a length and a slot, gives name, address and a note, and sends. The page shows only slots your busy time leaves free, inside the workday, lead time and horizon you set.
What you set
The page's settings live in the console (/console/calendar/booking): the
display name, headline and blurb, the target calendar, the time zone, the workday (days and
hours, default Mon–Fri 09:00–17:00), the slot grid (default 30 minutes), the offered
lengths, the lead time (default 12 hours), the horizon (default 30 days), and whether an
email address is required.
The page answers 404 until it exists — turning the page off is deleting its record. A principal without a calendar-user address takes no requests.
What to know
- No confirmation email to the requestor. The suite will not mail an address a stranger typed from an anonymous page; the event on your calendar says Requested by, and you decide.
- No cancel or reschedule from the link. The requestor writes to you, or you move the event after confirming.
- Earlier requests hold their slot until you confirm or delete them, and two people asking for the same moment cannot both pass the check.
